The best legal advice begins with understanding what the company is building, how it operates, where it is going, and which risks genuinely matter.
Founders should not have to translate a lengthy legal analysis into a business decision. We explain the issue, identify the available options, and provide a clear recommendation.
Good legal counsel should not be limited to responding after something goes wrong. We help clients identify vulnerabilities early, when they are generally easier and less expensive to address.
Not every theoretical risk requires an elaborate legal solution. We work with clients to develop protections appropriate for their stage, resources, and objectives.

Hi! I'm Jackie!
For nearly two decades, I have worked at the intersection of law, business, regulation, and growth—helping companies navigate complex decisions across industries ranging from energy to consumer goods.
Much of my career has been spent inside businesses, advising founders, executives, and leadership teams not only on legal risk, but on how to build stronger, more valuable companies. I have helped emerging brands move from early-stage growth through major commercial milestones, strategic transactions, and acquisition. That experience shapes how I practice law today.
I created Soteria Law for founders who need more than a lawyer reviewing documents in isolation. They need a trusted legal partner who understands how the entire business fits together—and how the decisions made today can affect fundraising, operations, retailer relationships, regulatory exposure, enterprise value, and perhaps, a successful exit.
Legal issues rarely arrive in neat categories. A marketing claim can create regulatory risk, consumer litigation exposure, retailer concerns, and diligence issues. A poorly structured founder arrangement can become a serious obstacle during financing. A manufacturing or vendor agreement can determine whether a company is able to scale, protect its intellectual property, or deliver on its commitments.
My role is to see those connections early, give founders clear and practical advice, and help the business move forward without unnecessary legal friction.
I approach every client relationship with the mindset of an experienced in-house executive: understand the business, identify the risks that truly matter, solve problems efficiently, and stay focused on the larger objective.
I want my clients to feel that they have someone in their corner who knows their business, understands where they are trying to go, and can give them a direct answer when the stakes are high. Someone who is not simply responding to the next legal question, but helping them build a company that is structured for growth, investment, and long-term value.
